Both sponsor and vendor! I think we could have a boot camp location Uptown if you come down to the market and sign up! You know, working out at 5:30am if its only a couple of blocks away, right here in the neighborhood sounds pretty great! Lets do this people!!
The short term goals of this project will include increased community leadership and civic engagement, better visibility and improved community awareness. This will be accomplished in a short working timeline by seeking “the low hanging fruit” along the corridor, avoiding duplication and avoiding recycled projects. Instead, we are building from innovative and successful ideas set in motion by grassroots efforts, and which include the “people resources” as a first philosophy.
Located in the East Village, the Depot accepts donations of items too good to throw away, and stocks a treasure trove of materials for art, decor, gardening and re-purposing of all kinds.
Project Oasis was founded by Peter Dopulos and Keith Lewis, and we are lucky to have them running the Chess Club at the market!! Every Sunday from 10a-12n
Project Oasis Inc., works to build community through the arts. Their goal is to accomplish this vision through a sense of place where adults and children find pride and purpose, strengthen bonds and communications in Long Beach, the most diverse city in the nation.
