Hughes Instrumental Music Department

Save the Date:  Sunday March 7th-All Day Read of The Soloist featuring Cellists from Hughes.

The Hughes Instrumental Music Department is participating in the Long Beach Sunday Market by setting up a Drinks Booth each week. This booth is a volunteer effort and needs the help of parents, students, alumni and community members interested in supporting the Instrumental Music Program at Hughes. This is a perfect example of using the market’s weekly presence to network with supporters and give the program coordinators a platform.  The mission is to create another fun, casual and easily accessible place for the school programs to help themselves in this time of budget crisis. With a lot of effort (and a lot of fun too) the “drinks booth” a grass roots effort, could potentially raise enough to make a real difference at the classroom level.

100% of the profits from the Drinks Booth go directly back in to the Instrumental Music Department. There are expenses for health permits, tent, signage and inventory, so they could use a little help with seed money and time working the booth at the market.
