Location

The new Long Beach Sunday Market in California Heights is located on the playground of Longfellow Elementary School. The street address of the school is 3800 Olive Avenue Long Beach, CA 90807 – but the market is actually held on the opposite side of the school off of California Avenue at Bixby Road on the playground.

Weekly: Every Sunday – The market takes place rain or shine!

Hours: 9am-2pm

Location: California Avenue at Bixby Road on the Longfellow Elementary Playground

Parking: There is ample convenient, off street parking! Please park on the large play ground on the east side of California. Out of respect for the residents in the area neighboring the school, we ask that you take advantage of the lot, and not park in front of someone’s home. Please use caution while driving on the playground, but please use the playground parking!!

Getting to Market:

From the 405: Exit at Atlantic Avenue, head north and turn right on Bixby Road, Map

Being right off of both Orange Avenue and Atlantic, public transportation is also a convenient way to the market.

Our Community:

We are centrally located in the “Uptown” section of Long Beach. There are many neighborhoods within walking or cycling distance. Historic California Heights, with over 1600 homes is one of the largest historic districts in the city. Bixby Knolls features a bustling business district with a strong restaurant, retail and art community. Los Cerritos, plays host to the Municipal Band concerts in the summer months and is the home of the Rancho Los Cerritos historic site and the Virginia Country Club golf course which just celebrated it’s 100 year anniversary. Little known neighborhood designations like Chateau Thierry, feature stately homes, historic lamp posts and only run a few blocks.

If you are coming from outside the area, join us for the market, but then take your time and cruise Atlantic Avenue on your way in or out of the area and enjoy what our community has to offer.
